What are some of my hobbies?
Photography, hiking, kayaking, behavioral neurosciences, geology rocks, bird identification, and I nerd out on anything related to natural sciences.

So why are you doing the great western loop?
I had planned to triple crown on the PCT in summer of 2020 so why not hike the crown of all crowns on the western loop. It sounds absolutely epic. I’m fit, I’m ready, and opportunities like these come along so rarely in life.

What do you think will get you to the end?
I’ve started every trail with a glimmer of hope and along the way I dig deep and feed the flame until the end – no matter the challenges (It got me through record snows in Colorado this year). I know, barring injury or death, I can do it but not only that, I want to.

What do you want to be remembered for?
My brain doesn’t really work that way. I’m not out here to be remembered. It brings me joy to inspire others to pursue and achieve their goals. So many of us in this life have had influences and experiences that oppress our inclination to see what we can achieve. I enjoy pushing my limits and breaking through the mental boundaries that family, culture, and society has constructed.

How would your parents describe you?
I’m the one they don’t really understand. Both of my parents grew up with ACE/Childhood Adversity and their views on what is possible are somewhat limited. However, my mother would probably describe me as artistic and fierce.

What’s your luxury item?
A large powerbank so I can use my phone to its capacity (Music, audiobooks, kindle app, etc).

Who is the person you look up to the most and why?
My friend Rochelle, for finding her way, without guidance and from great oppression, to become the incredible woman she is today.

Three words to describe yourself?
Determined, innovative, and positive.

Describe your perfect day on trail?
Epic views, a wildlife encounter that makes my heart beat faster, and an evening around a fire with good conversation, laughter, and friends.

What would be the reason for you NOT to finish?
Severe injury or death.
