What are some of my hobbies?
Primitive firebuilding and skills, leatherwork, carpentry, beer brewing.

So why are you doing the great western loop?
The last challenge didn’t break me.

What do you think will get you to the end?
Willpower and an audience. 

What do you want to be remembered for?
Living a life that leaves the world better than when I came into it.

How would your parents describe you?
Determined, freethinking, much-improved.

What’s your luxury item?
Bourbon.

Who is the person you look up to the most and why?
Weightlifting coach from high school. He taught us that there is always more in our reserves than we know. A fundamental and powerful life lesson.

Three words to describe yourself?
You decide that.

Describe your perfect day on trail?
Out by sunrise, smooth climbing until a vista at lunch. Then cruisy rolling descents until dinner and bed. I am easily entertained. 

What would be the reason for you NOT to finish?
I die.
